Built in 1976, with remodeling ongoing, this hotel provides bright, spacious rooms with comfortable beds and good amenities, though you have to like to walk. Rooms are built around a huge quadrangle with an indoor pool in a sunny, plant-filled courtyard. Request a room at one of the four corner entrances and you'll avoid trudging down the long hallways. Also request a room facing outside rather than in toward the courtyard, so you won't hear noise from the pool. This is your best bet for full-service lodging. It is at the center of town, adjacent to the New Mexico Military Institute.
