For straight couples-all others are denied admittance-this is the best all-inclusive on the island. If you like a resort where everything's paid in advance and you virtually live in a walled compound with lots of organized activities, this might be for you, providing you meet the sexual orientation criterion. On one of the island's best beaches, the resort offers eight different room categories, most of which are medium-size. Some of the more romantic ones offer four-poster beds and ocean views. Typical amenities include small patios and plush mattresses. If you want honeymoon privacy, opt for a cottage suite (because of its octagonal shape, the staff calls it a rondavel) opening directly onto Dickenson Beach.
A quintet of bars and restaurants serve everything from Tex-Mex to sushi. Il Palio's Italian specialties are particularly good, and the beachfront restaurant is another an excellent spot for meals.
