The Park Plaza is easily confused with the Plaza Hotel downtown, and indeed their styles are quite similar. This exclusive brick hotel also caters predominately to traveling executives and diplomats, although its discreet location tucked away on Calle Lyon in Providencia is more tranquil. The Park Plaza is a boutique hotel designed in the European style, with classic furniture and rich fabrics; adjoining the lobby is a small restaurant serving excellent French cuisine. All rooms have plenty of space and good light. The hotel is conveniently located near shops and a block from the Metro, but what really stands out is the Park Plaza's impeccable service. The Park Plaza has a second hotel around the corner, the Park Suite Apartments (Lota 2233; $100 1-bedroom, $180 2-bedroom), with 20 fully furnished guest rooms featuring spacious kitchenettes and living areas. Prices for these apartments are reduced for multiple-day stays.
