The gala Sheraton Santiago offers more room sizes and amenities than are possible to list in this description, especially since they added on the San Cristóbal Tower with conference centers and luxury executive rooms. The Sheraton sits apart from the city, facing the Río Mapocho and backing the Cerro San Cristóbal mountain; psychologically you're cut off from the city, but it's just 5 blocks from downtown Providencia. Anything over the 10th floor offers spectacular views. The rooms at the Sheraton vary according to their location within the hotel, but all are well appointed with the same high-quality linens and attractive furnishings. The new executive guest rooms and suites in the Tower complex are truly top-notch; each floor has its own butler, and there's a private lounge for breakfast or tea on the 21st floor. The Neptune Pool & Fitness Center is unbelievable, with a turquoise pool surrounded by murals and softly lit by skylights. With its crystal chandeliers and marble floors, the Sheraton is all about glamour whereas the Park Plaza is low-key elegance.
