This enormous cruise-line-operated hotel extends in three long wings of gray clapboards on the banks of the Chena. Rooms and common areas maintain an opulent style of lavish colors and prints, a pleasing mish-mash of faux-rustic Alaskan touches and gold rush excess. Rooms are not large but are well turned out and many have river views (commanding a $10 premium). Business travelers will like the airport location, crisp, efficient service, and wireless Internet in some of the building, including all public spaces. Food is from a bar and grill, or, in the summer, a riverfront cafe with outdoor dining.
