This well-run, attractive lakeside hotel in Wasilla has the best standard rooms in the valley. They're large and well appointed, and those facing the lake have balconies and a grand, peaceful view. Flightseeing trips take off from the dock below the lawn. The restaurant is one of the best in the area, with a light, quiet dining room looking out on the water. It's open for dinner only. The beef and seafood menu ranges from $15 to $38.
