Located in downtown Grants Pass, the Riverside Inn is right on the bank of the Rogue River. A weathered wood exterior and cedar-shingle roof give the two-story inn a bit of Northwest flavor, though the setting between two busy bridges is not exactly idyllic. Luckily, a park across the river means the views from most rooms are quite pleasant. The inn sprawls over 3 blocks, and most rooms have been upgraded in recent years. Our favorites are the fireplace rooms in the west section and the whirlpool riverview suites. Though the riverview rooms are a bit more expensive than nonview rooms, they're certainly worth the price. Avoid the rooms near the road, which can be quite noisy. The inn's restaurant and lounge offer a great view of the river and some of the best meals in town. Jet-boat tours to Hellgate Canyon leave from the resort.
