This is the most northerly and, after the Jekyll Island Club Hotel, one of the most upscale accommodations on Jekyll Island. Not a conventional hotel, it's a compound of condominium-style apartments scattered among 10 two-story buildings in a 17-acre forest. The 2,000 feet of ocean frontage is longer than that of any other hotel on the island, but you'll have to cross a raised boardwalk bridging a lawn and a rocky breakwater to reach it. Each of the accommodations is individually owned by absentee investors and decorated in a taste you may or may not love. Each unit comes with a neatly kept bathroom with a tub/shower combination. Frankly, there are better-built condos and apartments in other parts of the Golden Isles, but still, this place is ideal for vacationers who want lots of space and a working kitchen. The public areas contain a country restaurant and deli, Crackers, plus a video bar.
