This luxurious boutique inn at the base of the slopes in Mountain Village offers the best of both worlds -- all the amenities of an upscale resort hotel with the charm and intimacy of a small inn. Staying here is certainly not for those pinching pennies, but when you consider all that you get for your money, it's really quite a good deal. The overall theme is rustic elegance, which begins in the lobby, with its massive timbered beams and handsome two-sided stone fireplace, and continues throughout the restaurant and into the rooms. Each unit is individually decorated, with an Old World feel, and all boast hand-textured walls, fine art photography, marble baths, jetted tubs, steam showers, clothes washers and dryers, and high speed Internet. Units range from studios -- with one queen-sized bed and a fully-equipped kitchenette -- to two-bedroom suites, with a full kitchen, two bathrooms, and two TVs. In between are several one-bedroom styles. All except the studios have stone fireplaces.
It would be difficult to find some service that is not provided at the Inn at Lost Creek, from pre-arrival trip planning with the concierge to complimentary boot warming and waxing and de-burring of skis. There is twice-daily maid service, turn-down service, bell service, a ski and golf valet, and airport transportation. Two eight-person whirlpool tubs are perched on the inn's roof, offering spectacular mountain views. The excellent restaurant serves three meals daily.
