Welcoming guests to Stowe since 1833, the beautifully restored Green Mountain Inn offers the perfect blend of modern comfort and classic elegance in 104 unique guest rooms, luxury suites and village townhouses. Guests enjoy many on-site amenities, such as two acclaimed restaurants, specialty shops, a year-round heated outdoor pool, game room, complimentary afternoon tea and cookies, and use of a fully equipped health club offering a large Jacuzzi, sauna and massage services.
Between April 14 and mid-July, 2008, the Green Mountain Inn will be under construction as we are adding an elevator to the Main Inn. We regret any inconvenience - the construction will take place from 7am-5pm, Monday through Friday. All hotel facilities will still be available to guests. Once complete the elevator will service the main dining room, function room, living rooms and 41 guest rooms located in the Main Inn and Depot building.
UPDATE: Because of the elevator construction, from April 14 to May 17 the Green Mountain Inn will not be serving breakfast in the Main Street Dining room. All guests who have signed up for a breakfast package will receive a voucher for breakfast at a surrounding property. Also, the Pool will be closed April 22-24 for spring cleaning.

This handsome historic structure sits right in the village, and it's the best choice for those seeking a sense of New England history along with a bit of pampering. A sprawling hostelry with 100 guest rooms spread among several buildings old and new, it feels far more intimate, with accommodations tastefully decorated in an early-19th-century motif that befits the 1833 vintage of the main inn. More than a dozen units feature Jacuzzis and/or gas fireplaces, and the Mill House has rooms with CD players, sofas, and Jacuzzis that open into the bedroom from behind folding wooden doors. The luxe Mansfield House (which opened in 2000) features double Jacuzzis, marble bathrooms, and 36-inch TVs with DVD players. The most expensive rooms are uniformly superb; some of the lower-priced rooms in the main inn feature minor irritants, such as balky radiators or views of noisy kitchen ventilators.
