Yes, it is very much a motor lodge, but the innkeepers have gone to great lengths to make guests forget that once they step inside. Standard rooms are available; business rooms offer high-speed Internet, desks with printers, DVD players, and shuttles to local businesses. Charming "country French boudoir" rooms are cozy (a bit smaller than the other rooms) but are decorated with romantic wall coverings, linens, and furniture with a real bed-and-breakfast feel. For pure luxury, ask for a Winterthur suite or chamber. All decorated with rich fabrics and fabulous Winterthur reproduction furniture, they are over the top in decor and comfort. Suites are the size of two standard rooms. A chamber is standard-room-size but filled floor to ceiling with Winterthur style. The location is perfect for Brandywine tourists and business travelers alike, right on Route 202 on the way to Winterthur, and around the corner from Nemours. Ask about museum packages, too.
