Courteous service and a great downtown location are among the merits of this modern chain hotel, situated just down the hill from the Hotel Newfoundland. The rooms are standard-size but comfortable and clean; they're set apart mainly by their views -- ask for one overlooking the Narrows. You can walk to downtown restaurants and attractions within a few minutes. The Battery and Signal Hill are a pleasant hike in the other direction. There's free covered parking beneath the hotel, and a better-than-average restaurant serving three meals daily on the premises.
