This hotel is geared primarily to business travelers, but it's a good choice for anyone looking for a big, dependable luxury hotel near downtown San José. Wooden headboards and angular window nooks and other small architectural details give these rooms an edge over those in the Aurola Holiday Inn , although it's not as convenient for walking around downtown. An extra $20 buys you an executive room, which is basically a standard room with a coffeemaker, a scale, terry-cloth bathrobes, and an extra telephone in the bathroom. The junior suites, called CEO Club rooms here, are in an isolated wing with its own comfortable lounge and honor bar. They come with all the above amenities, as well as a desk and chair, in-room fax machine, and small balcony. The hotel features a well-equipped gym that is part of the local Multispa chain.
